Returns Policy

RETURNS POLICY

We want you to love your Chic Sips pieces. If something isn’t quite right, we’re here to help you find a solution. For any returns, our goal is to keep the process as easy as possible so you can shop with confidence.

This policy operates in addition to, and subject to, any rights you have under the Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) (Australian Consumer Law).

Change-of-mind returns

If you’ve changed your mind, you can return a product within 14 days of delivery. If your return is eligible, we’ll issue a digital gift card equal to the amount you paid for the product, valid for 3 years and ready to use whenever it suits you. Refunds aren’t offered for change-of-mind returns and return postage will be at your expense. 

We encourage thoughtful purchasing and recommend reviewing product details carefully before placing your order.

Requests to swap a product for a different size, pattern or style are treated as change-of-mind returns under this policy.

To be eligible, your product must be:

  • Unused and in its original condition
  • Returned with all original packaging
  • Accompanied by proof of purchase
  • Received by us within 14 days of original delivery to you

What can’t be returned

  • Products that have been opened, used or are no longer in original condition (unless they fail to meet the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law)
  • Change-of-mind returns returned or requested more than 14 days after delivery
  • Gift cards
  • Products that have been personalised, custom-made or produced to a customer’s specifications (unless they are faulty or fail to meet consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law)
  • Products marked as "clearance" or "final sale"

Colour variation & product appearance

We take great care to represent our products as accurately as possible through professional photography.

However, colours and tones may appear differently across screens, devices and lighting conditions. As a result, there may be differences between how a product appears on screen and how it appears in real life.

Variations in colour or appearance between on-screen images and the physical product are not considered faults and any return requested on this basis will be treated as a change-of-mind return under this policy.

Damaged or faulty products

Each Chic Sips piece is carefully packed before it leaves us, but if something arrives damaged or isn’t quite right, please get in touch as soon as possible by emailing us at hello@chicsips.com.au. Please include your order number, a brief description of the issue, and a photo if you can. If there is an issue, we’ll arrange a resolution that reflects our standards and ensures you’re happy with the outcome.

If the Australian Consumer Law applies to your purchase, you’re protected by guarantees that cannot be excluded. This means you're entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You’re also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. To seek a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law, you’ll need to cover the initial costs (for example delivery costs) of sending the products back to us. If your claim is valid under the Australian Consumer Law, we’ll refund those return delivery costs.

Incorrect product

If you believe that the products we have shipped to you do not reflect those that you ordered and/or do not correspond to the description we have provided (except for colour and appearance variations described above), please contact us at hello@chicsips.com.au.

Fraud or Returns Policy abuse

We may refuse to accept change-of-mind returns at our discretion if we reasonably believe you have engaged in fraudulent conduct or are abusing our Returns Policy.

Refunds

Once we’ve received and approved your return, we’ll process your outcome in line with this policy.

  • Change-of-mind returns are issued as a Chic Sips digital gift card.
  • Faulty or damaged items may be eligible for a refund to your original payment method, repair or replacement, in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law.

For purchases made using multiple payment methods (e.g. gift card and credit card), any applicable refunds will be processed proportionally to each payment method. Please allow up to 5 business days for processing.
